Severe born in the 1950’s in Cap Haitien
Severe started painting at an early age, under the instructions of Philome Obin, who was a great art teacher. Philome loved the art, but not as much as he loved Jean Claude. He involved himself with painting, until the 1970’s when he decided it was time to move on to more lucrative trade. He abandoned painting to become a waiter on a ship. His paintings were about people in various social gatherings.
Because of his abandonment of the trade, his paintings are not many and are rare to come across
